Last night I went to check out a new salsa spot in downtown Los Angeles. The venue is an old theater called the Belasco and it’s right next to the legendary Mayan club that is famous for holding the annual world salsa competitions.

There are many good dancers and cover is only 5 dollars. The drinks at the bar are sub par and in my opinion over priced for the quality, but who cares I’m there to dance. You can always car bar or bar hop if you want to get a buzz going before going. What really sets the Belasco apart from other salsa spots is the very spacious dance floor and the great ambiance. If you’re a salsero/salsera lookin for a new place on Thursday nights other than Stevens, Granada, or Mama Juanas then this place is well worth checking out.

Before I started veganism I was on the raw food train for about 2 1/2 months and being on a raw food diet means drinking a lot of Green smoothies. The day After I had my first green smoothie I was completely taken back by how great I felt and how much energy I had. After a couple weeks of drinking these I started to notice how my weight effortlessly started to drop.
